Waco manufacturing facility is seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to support the financial management of a high-volume aluminum manufacturing operation. This position will analyze production costs, inventory, variances, and profitability while providing financial information to help management improve efficiency and control costs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and analyze costs for finished goods and work-in-process inventory.
• Analyze production variances, including material usage, aluminum scrap, labor efficiency, and overhead.
• Manage and reconcile raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory valuations.
• Assist with monthly financials, journal entries, reconciliations, and COGS reporting.
• Assist with annual budgets and periodic forecasts for materials, labor, and overhead.
• Work closely with Plant Operations to identify cost drivers, waste reducers to improve efficiencies.
• Prepare product profitability, customer margin, and gross profit reports.
• Maintain the integrity of cost information in the ERP system, routings, and material records.

Qualifications:

• Accounting or Finance degree preferred.
• Cost accounting or manufacturing accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with ERP systems; SAP experience is a plus.
