Looking for Commercial Concrete Estimator who knows commercial concrete construction, can read plans and specifications, and can take a project from initial takeoff through final bid.

This is NOT an entry-level estimating position.

• Commercial concrete estimating experience AND PlanSwift experience are required.
• Full-time, Remote

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Review plans, specifications, addenda, and bid documents
• Perform detailed concrete takeoffs using PlanSwift
• Estimate labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and other project costs
• Estimate foundations, slabs, paving, sidewalks, curbs/gutters, retaining walls, piers, rebar, formwork, excavation, and prep
• Evaluate pricing from suppliers, subcontractors, concrete plants, rebar suppliers, pump companies, and vendors
• Prepare complete bids
• Identify potential conflicts, special requirements
• Attend pre-bid meetings and jobsite visits when needed
• Track bids, results, and outstanding proposals
• Work with project management and field supervision on awarded projects
• Prepare and price change orders and additional work
• Prepare and submit monthly pay applications
• Track project billing to ensure completed work is billed accurately and on time

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Commercial concrete estimating experience — Required
• PlanSwift experience — Required
• Strong understanding of commercial concrete construction methods and sequencing
• Ability to accurately read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Ability to manage multiple projects and bid deadlines
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of estimates from start to finish
• Self-motivated and dependable with the discipline to work effectively in a remote environment

THE BOTTOM LINE

We’re looking for someone who understands that good estimating is more than counting quantities on a set of plans. You need to recognize potential scope issues, know what questions to ask, understand how concrete projects are built, and produce a complete, competitive bid.
