Commercial Concrete General Superintendent
Looking for an experienced Commercial Concrete General Superintendent to oversee field operations across multiple commercial concrete projects.
Multiple Projects | Field Leadership | Senior-Level Position
Full-Time | In-Person | Travel to Jobsites
This is a senior field leadership position responsible for crews, manpower, scheduling, productivity, quality, safety, and keeping multiple projects moving forward.
Extensive commercial concrete construction experience AND previous concrete superintendent experience are required. This is NOT an entry-level position.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Oversee field operations on multiple commercial concrete projects
- Supervise and direct foremen and field crews
- Coordinate manpower, crew assignments, equipment, materials, and subcontractors
- Review plans, specifications, schedules, elevations, and project requirements
- Plan upcoming work and ensure crews are properly staffed and prepared
- Monitor productivity, workmanship, quality, labor hours, and project schedules
- Coordinate concrete pours, including crews, equipment, concrete supply, and pump scheduling
- Oversee commercial concrete work
- Identify field conflicts and resolve
- Communicate regularly with project managers regarding progress
- Coordinate with general contractors, other trades, inspectors, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Conduct jobsite visits and attend project meetings as needed
- Assist field personnel with layout, sequencing, scheduling, and problem-solving
- Enforce company and project-specific safety and OSHA requirements
- Assist with hiring, training, evaluating, and developing field employees
- Assist with punch-list work, closeout, and completion of remaining work
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Extensive commercial concrete construction experience — Required
- Previous Concrete Superintendent, General Superintendent, or Senior Superintendent experience — Required
- Strong knowledge of commercial concrete construction from layout and excavation through placement and finishing
- Strong understanding of slabs, foundations, paving, reinforcing steel, formwork, and site concrete
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, details, and schedules
- Strong understanding of elevations, grades, layout, and concrete tolerances
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and field crews simultaneously
- Strong leadership and personnel-management skills
- Strong understanding of construction safety requirements
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between jobsites
