IT Technician Assistant | Large Service Company
Seeking an IT Assistant to support our IT Manager in maintaining and improving our IT infrastructure.
The IT Assistant will be responsible for user setup, resolving service tickets, and providing technical support via phone, email, or in-person. The role also involves assisting with cybersecurity measures and traveling to branch locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with new user setup, including hardware and software installation and configuration.
- Respond to and resolve IT service tickets in a timely manner, providing support via phone, email, or in-person.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to networks, hardware, software, and cybersecurity concerns.
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 applications and services.
- Assist in the maintenance of network infrastructure, including TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, and VPN configurations.
- Assist in the support and maintenance of Microsoft Active Directory accounts and permissions.
- Assist with cybersecurity measures, including teaching users how to recognize potential threats.
- Travel to branch locations as needed to provide on-site IT support.
- Assist the IT Manager with various IT projects and initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to branch locations as needed.

I lost the contact information I had received from the original recruiter I spoke to. I called today, March 11th, 2025, at 12:14, thinking this may be the company and the lady who answered the phone was horrendous. The duration of the call was only about 10 seconds. I called, and she greeted me already annoyed. I greeted her and asked to speak to *name of the recruiter I spoke to originally* She proceeded to ask me what I need. Not "what could she do to help me," but "what I needed." I once again said the name of the lady I was looking for and asked if she was there. She said, "No, there’s no one here by that name" (again, extremely annoyed and rude). Thankfully, the recruiter I spoke to originally, had no ties to this company, but I would definitely reconsider using them as a client for your staffing needs.

WORTHLESS! ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS!!!Don't even bother. Sure, other so-called "reviewers" (meaning employees) will give them high marks, but if you ask an actual client -- like me -- you will get an honest review. And, like me, you will learn that "Total Placement" is anything but! I applied with them over 12 weeks ago and they found me NOTHING!!! Not even a minimum-wage job! So waste your time if you want but I won't!!! This is just another "job board" like Indeed or ZipRcruiter. So spend your time on those boards instead of wasting your time with them. Your "recruiter" will most likely have "called in sick" for the day, but most likely won't be available because they got fired!!! And how much do they think about your "job" after they have been fired?!?
