Production Planner works with various departments and organizations and is primarily responsible for ensuring project deliverables are completed on schedule.

A successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:

• Established analytical skills, focused on the ability to identify, and implement creative solutions to complex problems
• Understanding of the concepts, principles, processes, and procedures required to actively manage production schedules
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment while demonstrating the skills needed to effectively avoid and resolve conflict
• Understand various manufacturing processes and methods
• Professional attitude and adaptability, including the ability to work overtime and non-traditional days and hours to meet the expectations of organization
• “Ownership of the job” is critical to success in this role

Essential Functions

• Communicate, coordinate, and negotiate workflow through multiple work centers via various functional organizations to secure needed resources
• Ensuring changing customer demands, and schedule deadlines are met.
• Expedite flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping
• Create production work orders and monitor order and material status, managing WIP areas, inventory control, manufacturing
• Ensure availability of materials. Resolve material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions.

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of prior related experience or  an Associate’s Degree with  minimum of 4 years of related experience.
• 1-2 years production planning experience
• Experience in project or program execution techniques
• Experience with SAP or other ERP/MRP systems
