Water Jet / Saw / Panel Cutting Operator
Seeking a Water Jet / Saw / Panel Cutting Operator to operate CNC cutting equipment and prepare composite panels to customer specifications. This is a hands-on manufacturing position requiring good attention to detail, measurement skills, and the ability to safely handle materials.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC water jet/saw equipment to cut composite panels to customer prints and specifications.
- Move panels using scissor tables, suction lifters and other material-handling equipment.
- Measure and inspect finished panels using tape measures, digital calipers and other gauges.
- Perform daily machine calibration and monitor equipment for proper operation.
- Monitor cut quality and report or correct issues such as frayed edges, delamination or dimensional problems.
- Maintain accurate panel identification, production records and cutting information.
- Review work orders and report discrepancies or conflicting information.
- Keep the work area clean and organized while minimizing material waste.
- Work cooperatively with production, maintenance, engineering and programming teams.
Requirements
- Manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
- Ability to read a tape measure and use a digital caliper.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow work orders, prints and written instructions.
- Ability to stand for an 8–10 hour shift and lift 50 lbs.
- Dependable, safety-minded team player.
