CNC Programmer – Welding Robots

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will create and refine programs that control the contour path of welding robots to ensure precision and quality in production welding. This is a hands-on opportunity to combine technical expertise with problem-solving in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Location: Temple, TX

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze part drawings, sketches, and design data to determine weld joint dimensions, configurations, feed rates, and weld parameters.
• Establish reference points and program robot weld paths.
• Calculate angular and linear dimensions, radii, curvatures, and develop the sequence of operations needed to weld parts.
• Create geometric layouts using CAD or drafting software to define reference points and weld directions.
• Write instruction sheets and weld lists to guide machine setup and operation.
• Revise programs to correct errors or omissions.
• Establish procedures and train employees on proper storage and retrieval of completed programs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college/technical school plus 1+ year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Skilled in writing reports and procedure manuals.
• Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and robotic manufacturing software.

Work Environment

• Work performed near moving mechanical parts.
• Moderate noise level typical of a manufacturing environment.
