What You’ll Do
As a key part of our accounting team, you’ll be responsible for:
- Receiving, verifying, and entering invoices into the accounting system
- Ensuring timely and accurate payment to vendors
- Reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies with vendors
- Responding promptly to vendor inquiries and assisting with payment issues
- Pitching in on additional projects or duties as needed
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who’s organized, reliable, and wants to learn new things.
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a related finance role
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and Microsoft Office

Cost Accountant
Location: Temple, TX, US
Position Summary
We are looking for a detail-driven Cost Accountant to join our team in Temple, TX. Reporting to the Cost Accounting Manager, you’ll partner closely with manufacturing, finance, and operations to provide meaningful insights that improve performance and profitability. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to key decisions through standard costing, variance analysis, KPI development, and results reporting—all while building your career in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
What You’ll Do
• Provide timely reporting and analysis of business performance, identifying key factors affecting profitability.
• Maintain the standard cost system, including daily costing of new items and leading the annual standards update.
• Perform variance analysis on material, labor, and overhead costs, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support month-end close activities for the General Ledger.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts and coordinate annual physical inventory processes.
• Manage inventory accounting, including reconciliations and Excess & Obsolete reserve calculations.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Conduct gross margin analysis and other reporting to support leadership decisions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to develop accurate product costs using Lean principles.
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Review and analyze new capital expenditure justifications.
• Uphold the highest ethical and professional standards.
• Contribute to other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least 2 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills; Oracle, Epicor, or some other MRP/ERP software experience required.
• Ability to analyze large datasets, turn numbers into insights, and communicate recommendations effectively.
• Experience with standard costing systems (BOM, routings, work center rates, cost rolls, variance analysis).
• Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
