Field Service Installation & Maintenance Technician – while working with the Service Manager, will use their experience to install various types of equipment, software and hardware used in production of food items. This includes testing, training, and troubleshooting to keep clients operational.
Technician needs to be ready to travel on a moments notice because when a piece of equipment is down, production is down. The technician manages resources for project completion for best results at various sites at one time. Skills such as reading blueprints, schematics, using man lifts, and troubleshooting industrial electrical components are necessary.
Best fit for this role is someone who has worked multiple construction projects because as in construction, you may have to visit several sites. You will be traveling all over the US. Eventually, after extensive training, you will be ready for projects out of the country.
This is very specialized equipment so on-site training in our plant will be required.
Education and Experience
• Associates Degree with emphasis on manufacturing technology or related field or comparable experience. A minimum of HS degree
• Experience in installing, troubleshooting, and configuring battery handling and food processing equipment and associated hardware and software applications.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required.
Essential Functions:
• Works with Engineering, Manufacturing and Sales to identify customer systems & procedures.
• Installs components including wiring, touch screens, hubs, and wireless systems according to specifications.
• Labels assets, proper documentation, and completes field service reports on a timely basis.
• Maintains accurate / timely travel records and expense reports.
• Provides technical support for users
Hours:
• 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday and as required to complete job.
• Extensive travel in US and eventually to some international customers
