Machinist III – We are seeking an experienced Machinist III to join our team. This role involves setting up and operating conventional, special purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts. The ideal candidate will bring advanced machining expertise, problem-solving skills, and a continuous improvement mindset to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Location: Temple, TX
Key Responsibilities
- Apply mastery of all Machinist I and II essential duties and responsibilities.
- Troubleshoot programs by observing machine operations, detecting malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusting controls or editing programs as required.
- Verify and adjust G & M codes to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth, and angle of cut.
- Apply continuous improvement principles, including Lean concepts, preventative maintenance (PMs), and 5S workplace standards. Participate actively in Kaizen events.
- Operate a variety of high-complexity machines and tools.
- Understand and connect daily work strategies to area boards.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of machining, tooling, and product capability limits.
- Uphold the highest ethical standards in all work performed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; two years of related experience preferred.
- Demonstrated mastery as a Machinist II is required for advancement to Machinist III.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Solid math skills, including ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
