Residential Appraiser
Seeking Residential Appraiser that is detail-oriented and knows what makes a property valuable.

Location: Waco

If you enjoy working in the field along with a meaningful desk job, you should join our team as an appraiser. Play a key role in assuring property values are fair and accurate. We could certainly use your help.

What You’ll Do

The Residential Property Appraiser is responsible for appraising assigned properties, applying appropriate valuation approaches as dictated under the Texas Property Tax Code. The position may also include mentoring and guiding junior appraisers.

  • Conduct field inspections and collect data on assigned properties.
  • Analyze property information and apply appropriate valuation method
  • Represent the office during informal and formal hearings
  • Inspect and analyze residential properties to determine accurate market values.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, real estate, or management preferred, at a minimum a High School diploma with three years of appraisal experience may be substituted.
  • Level III or IV TDLR certification required within five years of hire.
  • Strong math skills
  • Proficiency in computer programs used for appraisal.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage workload
  • Reliable personal vehicle, valid Texas driver’s license, liability insurance, and an acceptable driving record.
  • Bilingual a plus.
